Christmas Crap

It’s about 13 days til Christmas day and unlike a child I am not anxious for the day to come. I have so much to do and shopping is not on the top of the list needless to say.  We just put up the tree and in the middle of the living room floor are a bunch of boxes of decorations that need to be placed somewhere.  I know it looks nice and pretty when all the decor is up but all I’m thinking about is putting all the Christmas crap away.

I’m in the process of trying to Go Green.  I didn’t know it would be difficult but it is.  I try to at least recycle when I can.  Today I was reading the paper and came across  the site BuySuppliesNow.com they carry earth friendly products. What I found really great is that they sell started kits.   They also sell by the case.  Check it out.

Bravo TV

I’m addicted to Bravo TV.  Last night was the New Jersey Housewives.  Let me just say, Drama!  What the hell is going on with that Danielle character?  And let us not forget the other lady, what’s her name with the huge mansion.  I forgot her name but she’s the one with the husband that works in Waste Management, *wink*.  So, throwing out garbage does pay.  The guy can’t even put his arms against his body, he should lay off the steroids.  I can’t wait for next weeks episode.  Then after the Housewives, there was some show with rich kids in NYC.  Great like we really want to see more rich people spend their money on crap. But like many others, I’m watching the crap on the Bravo channel.

Sunburn

This morning I woke up to a nice 62 degrees as I left work it was a not so nice 80 something.  This weekend it’s suppose to be getting warmer which is great (for those that like it) because the beaches will be opening this weekend.  I have to stop complaining about the heat I have to suck it up and deal with it.  I have to look at the fun stuff to do like get a tan.

Now where did I put that sun tan lotion?

Star Trek Fever

The much anticipated Star Trek movie comes out today and I think I might want to watch it.  Many many years ago I did watch all the movies. I don’t remember any of the movies and I never watched any of the series but this movie looks really good.  I’m also waiting for another  much awaited movie, Transformers 2.  I saw some of the clips and it looks so good.   As for the new Tom Hanks movie, the prequel to The Da Vinci Code, I’ll wait for the video.

The Golden Girls

I love, love, love the Golden Girls and will miss Bea Arthur.  I remember watching them in the 80’s and loved them then.  The We channel is having a 72 hour marathon and I just started watching.  Will I have to stay home from work to watch it all?  Okay I know I can’t but I’ll watch a few now and some tonight and maybe some in the morning.    I love all four of them but here is Bea Arthur as Dorothy, the character so many people love.

Betty, la Fea “Chou Nu Wu Di”

The original Ugly Betty came out of Columbia and boy was she ugly.  What was great was how she transformed and became beautiful.  I started to watch the first season of the American Ugly Betty but it’s lost its luster, for me at least.  China has run their own Ugly Betty novela, “Chou Nu Wu Di” and a lot of the viewers think she isn’t ugly enough.  I agree she looks plain they need to ugly her up some more.  They need to watch the original Columbian version and get some ides.

Open Veins of Latin America

At the Latin American Summit/Summit of the Americas taking place in Tobago and Trinidad the President of Venezuela extended a hand to President Obama.  As President Chaves extended a hand he handed the President of the United States a book called, Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent.  This book was ranked #60,280 but in the last 24 hours it has shot up to #17. WOW!  Is Chavez the new Oprah?  I can just imagine that in the next few hours it’ll be #1.  I’m thinking of buying it.  Let me checkout the reviews.  Has anyone bought or read it yet?
